A metal container full of tyres and rubbish caught fire in a transport yard in Gelderd Road, Birstall, this morning.
The fire took Batley, Morley, Cleckheaton and Leeds fire crews three hours to put out at Wilson Haulage Company from 2.30am due to the difficulty of accessing the container and the threat of exploding tyres.
