A 20-year-old man has been told he will be locked up after he admitted robbing a student.
Ben Bentley, who is a student in Leeds, was robbed of his mobile phone, keys and wallet after he got out of his car in the Halifax Road area of Bradford in October.
Lee Holmes, of Torre Crescent, Horton Bank Top, had been due to stand trial at the city's crown court today but pleaded guilty to the robbery charge.
The court heard that a co-accused had already been sentenced for his part in the robbery and Judge Geoffrey Marson QC told Holmes a custodial sentence was inevitable in his case.
But the judge agreed to adjourn the case until June 27 so a pre-sentence report could be prepared and Holmes could go back in front of the same judge who dealt with his co-accused.
Holmes was granted bail in the meantime.
