THE RSPCA is appealing for help in tracing the owner of an American Bulldog who was found injured in Dewsbury.

The neglected two-year-old male was found by a member of the public in the Ravensthorpe area of the town on Sunday, 11 September.

He was covered in pressure sores and wounds that had scabbed over, while his tail and one of his ears were also split.

The dog was also described as being very underweight.

He was taken to a Huddersfield vets, where he has responded well to treatment.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

The dog was microchipped to an address at Marymead Drive in Stevenage, but the details appear to be out of date.

The dog will remain at the vets while he continues to receive treatment for his leg infection. He has been put on a course of antibiotics and his tail and ear have been patched up.

RSPCA inspector Adam Dickinson said: “He’s a really friendly dog who loves to play and it was so sad seeing the condition he had been left in.”
