EMERGENCY services were called out to a busy Bradford road last night (Monday) after a collision. 

Fire crews from Bradford and Shipley attended the scene on Canal Road at 8pm. 

Nobody needed to be freed from the wreckage, but one person was taken away in an ambulance for medical checks. 

A spokesperson for West Yokrshire Fire and Rescue said: "There was a casualty in one of the cars, but they didn't need to be extricated.

"They went in the ambulance to get a medical check."

The accident occurred on Canal Road at the junction with Bolton Lane.
