Three of the major titles were decided in a key weekend of Bradford Sunday Alliance League action.

Buttershaw White Star needed just a point at Queensbury to become Premier Division champions but did the job in style by taking all three with a 4-0 victory.

Otley Road, already assured promotion after midweek results, became champions of Division 1A with a resounding 6-0 victory over Seven Stars.

And Baildon Trinity Athletic lifted the INTERMDIATE CUP after a rousing battle with holders White Eagles went to a penalty shoot-out.

Trinity, who will be in Division One next season, were playing in the first of two finals in a week and broke the deadlock when Simon Dawson scored after 25 minutes.

White Eagles, who will also be playing at the higher level in their next campaign, hit back within five minutes thanks to a Graham Carney own goal at a corner.

The rest of the first half was denominated by the defending champions and only superb goalkeeping by Matthew Aveyard stopped Eagles from going out of sight.

The second half was more even but produced no more goals and, after a scoreless extra-time period, Avveyard was again the hero with two penalty saves as the shoot-out finished 3-2 to Trinity.

Meanwhile White Star, who were only promoted to the PREMIER DIVISION at the start of this season, got reward for being the most consistent team with a resounding title-deciding win at in-form Queensbury.

Goals from Andy Benjamin, Chris Graham and Carl Moorehouse laid the foundation and Carl Trenary added his first of the season to round off the victory.

Prune Park took their fourth point of the season off defending champions Silsden as they held them to a 1-1 draw.

Andrew Gudgeon fired Park in front five minutes from the end but visitors Silsden equalised within a minute.

Bolton Woods warmed up for next week's cup final with a 5-3 success over Ventus Sports in a terrific end-of-season affair.

Clayton Orient clinched the DIVISION ONE title last week - unless fellow promoted side Tyersal had a resounding victory over Wyke Wanderers - but they could only manage a 3-1 win.

Otley Road produced one of their best DIVISION 1A displays of the season with a superb display of attacking football to beat Seven Stars 6-0.

Two goals apiece from Lee Binns, John Selby and Alex Cusack did the damage for the new champions, with Baildon Trinity the runners-up.

Lee Taylor hit a brace for Cuedos Rangers at Boars Head, his former club, in a ten-goal match that finished 6-4 in the visitors' favour.

Ventus United rounded off the DIVISION 1B season with a solid 4-1 victory over Saltaire Rangers, which included two goals for Tony Vento.
