One of the most important events in the Sikh religious calendar, Vaisakhi, will take place on Monday.
The occasion will be marked by a parade through the streets of Bradford visiting each of the six Sikh temples in turn.
It is anticipated that as many as 5,000 people will take part in the procession.
It will assemble at the Gurdwara Singh Sabha on Grant Street at 10am, make its way to the Gurdwara Guru Gobind Singh Ji at Gobind Marg and then visit Gurdwaras at Usher Street, Peckover Street, Bolton Road, Brearton Street before returning to Grant Street for 3pm.
Refreshments and food will be provided free to participants and organisers are encouraging people of all faiths to attend the festivities.
Ranbir Singh Rai, general secretary of the Gurdwara Board, said: "This is a very special day in the Sikh calendar.
"On this day in 1699 our tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, created the Khalsa and every year we mark this special day."
West Yorkshire Police say there may be some traffic delays as a result of the march.
