A PROTEST against the Bradford Clean Air Zone (CAZ) is being staged in Bradford city centre this weekend.

As Bradford residents brace for a Clean Air Zone to come into force in the city on Monday, September 26, a group campaigning against the charges will be making their voice heard in a protest being held from 11am to 2pm tomorrow (Saturday) in City Park.

Protesters say that the CAZ charges on certain vehicles, which do not include private cars, will be crippling for small businesses, particularly at a time when people are struggling with the cost of living crisis.

"The general public doesn't want this," said Matthew Betts, a member of the Campaign Against CAZ tax in Bradford. "The council doesn't realise how angry people are over this."
