A WALK will be held in aid of a charity set up in memory of a Bradford-born footballer who died after an assault.

Jordan Sinnott was just 25 when he died in hospital after being punched a number of times and knocked to the floor in a brutal assault in Retford, Nottinghamshire, in January 2020.

The Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust, which was set up in his memory, is set to benefit from Walk 4 Pounds: The Sinnott 25, which will be held on Saturday, October 8.

The full 25-mile route will begin at one of Sinnott’s former schools, St Mary’s School Menston, before passing his junior club Guiseley FC and Bradford City’s home at Valley Parade and head back to Huddersfield Town’s John Smith’s Stadium.

A shorter 15-mile alternative route is available starting from Valley Parade.

The charity aims to help grassroots clubs by offering grants to pay for equipment, transport and kit, while children and young adults facing barriers will be able to apply for individual grants.

Registration for the walk will close on Monday, September 26. For sign up forms, go to htafc.com. Send the completed form in full on email to andy.booth@htafc.com or in person at our John Smith’s Stadium Ticket Office FAO Andy Booth.
