James were in town last night to promote their tenth album Hey Ma.
Front man Tim Booth declared he was born in Bradford at the start of the gig and then opened with Frustration, which was a real crowd pleaser.
The packed-out crowd at St George's Hall was treated to many of the new album tracks, as well as old favourite's like Frustration, and Star.
The new single Whiteboy was well received, as was album track Oh My Heart which is a true anthem.
The Manchester band split in 2001 and reformed last year and seem to have kept many loyal fans, but they may have been disappointed by the omission of Sit Down and Laid from the set list.
James were hugely successful in the 90s and judging from the crowds' reaction to their new material, history might just repeat itself.
