A MAN has been banned for using a mobile phone while driving in the Bradford district.
Matthew Holdsworth, 38, of Newill Close, Bradford, faced one charge of using a handheld mobile phone/device while driving a motor vehicle on a road – endorsable offence.
He was caught driving a motor vehicle when he was using a hand-held mobile telephone. The incident took place on Bowling Old Lane, Bradford, on February 8, 2022.
Holdsworth was disqualified from holding, or obtaining, a driving licence for six months for the offence. His disqualification was obligatory due to repeat offending.
He was also fined £220, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £90 costs for the offence.
Holdsworth was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on September 2, 2022.
