A DRIVER has been fined for speeding at 90mph on a major Bradford district road.
Anees Sharafat Ali, 27, of Bradford Road, Riddlesden, Keighley, faced one charge of speeding – motor vehicle exceeding 70mph on a dual carriageway – manned equipment.
Ali was clocked driving a Volkswagen Golf at 90mph in a 70mph section of the Sir Fred Hoyle Way/Bingley Bypass. This offence took place on March 16, 2022. It was contrary to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
Ali was handed three licence points, fined £220, ordered to pay £90 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £34 victim surcharge. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
He was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on September 1, 2022.
