SHIPLEY-based SportsShoes.com has appointed a head of marketing as the online retailer further implements its ongoing business growth and development strategy.

Dan Cartner has been promoted from senior marketing and e-commerce manager to the newly created position.

Since joining SportShoes.com in 2009, he has worked across customer service, marketing and e-commerce positions to gain an in-depth understanding of the company’s service proposition and customer base.

He said: “We’re committed to providing a best-in-class retail experience for our customers so my focus is on ensuring we use marketing as a means to achieve that objective.

“We pride ourselves on moving with speed and agility and are always looking out for what we can do next for the benefit of our customers, brand partners and suppliers.

“As head of marketing, it is my responsibility to ensure all of this happens and I’m looking forward to helping shape the future of the business.”

Dan is now working closely with the company’s digital teams to continuously improve the company’s marketing and e-commerce operations.
