AN empty plot of land between three Bradford roads could be home to a food truck if new plans are approved.
A planning application to use the triangular site between Listerhills Road and Thornton Road for a food and drink business has been submitted to Bradford Council.
It would see a food truck and static trailer installed on the site, along with an outdoor seating area, car parking and a cycle rack.
But applicants Salco Group say the use will only be temporary, for a two-year period.
A decision on the application is expected next month.
The site is part of a much wider application that has yet to be determined by the Council.
Earlier this year an application to transform the former gasworks site near the junction of Thornton Road and Listerhills Road into a development of 376 apartments, a doctor’s surgery, new petrol filling station, drive thru restaurant, and five shops was submitted by Mi 7 Projects.
Much of the development would be on the old gasworks site, but the site of the chai truck application is also included in the plans.
On this plot a five-storey building made up of five shops, and outdoor seating area and more flats would be built.
