A MAN will face trial later this month charged with selling thousands of pounds worth of football tickets that did not exist.
Kieron Smith, 38, of Prospect Mount, Shipley, faces one charge of fraud by false representation – Fraud Act 2006.
The charge against him states Smith committed fraud in that he dishonestly made a false representation, namely selling football tickets, that did not exist, intending to make a gain of £6,000 for himself.
The offence, which took place in Bradford on July 10, 2021, is contrary to sections one and two of the Fraud Act 2006.
Smith pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on September 2, 2022.
He was bailed to appear for a trial by jury at Bradford Crown Court on September 30, 2022.
