WEST Yorkshire-based artist Tessa Houghton is holding a joint exhibition with Horsforth-based sculptor David Ferguson.

Tessa paints dreamlike, ethereal landscapes which are infused with light,

texture, and the infinite possibilities of mysterious places where land meets water or water meets sky.

David creates simple organic shapes sculpted from clay, influenced by birds

and the ebb and flow of tidal water.

The exhibition, entitled 'Ebb and Flow', will be held at East Street Arts in Leeds, where both Tessa and David have studios. Said Tessa: "We are very excited about the exhibition as it will focus on the interplay between both our artworks and how they sit with and interact with each other.

"After a photo shoot last year involving my paintings and David's sculptures, we discovered there is a mutually felt influence connecting our respective mediums and decided to explore this connection further by collaborating on an exhibition."

Audio-visual artist Griet Beyaert has created a sound piece to accompany the exhibition as a direct response to the artworks.

The exhibition will be held at Patrick Studios, East Street Arts, St Mary's Lane, Leeds LS97EH, from Thursday October 6 to Sunday October 9.

There will be an opening night on October 6 from 6.30pm-9.30pm which is free to attend.
