SEVEN properties with Bradford postcodes were sold for over £1 million in the last year.

Using HM Land Registry sold house price statistics, Property Solvers reported the total value of the sales, collated from September 2021 up to September 2022, arrived at £9,224,950.

Relative to the same period in 2020-21, this represented a decrease of 60 per cent (from £17.19 million).

In terms of the number of properties worth over £1 million sold, the Bradford postcode ranks 94th across the UK - above Huddersfield (six, £8,259,560), Halifax (three, £3,660 million) and Wakefield (four, £4,335 million) but below Leeds (68, £123,183,793)

The two Bradford addresses - Woodlands Drive (BD10 0NX) and Clayton Lane (BD14 6PD) - went for £1.5 and £1.2 million.

Keighley also has a couple of properties on the list. These were Broomhill Avenue (BD21 1LP) for £1,499,950 and The Old Vicarage, Kildwick (BD20 9AE) for £1,165,000.

Three Skipton homes round off the seven. Croft House, West Marton (BD23 3JJ) was the most expensive (£1,725 million).

Scosthrop Manor, Airton, (BD23 4BE) and Banquet House, Skyreholme, (BD23 6DE) went for £1,085 and £1,050 million.

Co-founder Ruban Selvanayagam said: “Although there remains a fairly healthy volume of sales in this price bracket across Yorkshire, such a pronounced drop would suggest that buyer appetite for these types of homes is decreasing.”
