Wrose and District Gardeners’ Association had a ‘comeback’ when it put on a Flower, Vegetable and Craft Show at Eccleshill Football and Social Club on Kingsway.

After three years away because of the pandemic, the members of the club organised a great show with entries from local residents and members aged 5 to 82. There were some beautiful craft entries of embroidery, knitting, paintings and delicious cakes and jam made.

The flower arranging classes were popular and the old favourite the fun potato competition was well supported.

Our more experienced gardeners produced some spectacular dahlias and roses and some excellent vegetables.

Wrose Councillor and Bradford Council leader Susan Hinchcliffe handed out the prizes.
