WEST Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service has paid tribute all those who died on 9/11 amid the anniversary of the attacks.
Today marks 21 years since planes were flown into the World Trade Centre in New York, claiming many lives and changing the landscape of our world.
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service gave their respects to all who died, and were keen to give a special mention to the 343 firefighters and 412 first responders who lost their lives that day.
In a tweet posted just after 9am, its official account said: “As the nation mourns, today we remember the 2,977 lives lost in the devastating terrorist attacks on America.
“Amongst those, we pay tribute to the 412 first responders, including 343 firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty 21 years ago.”
It ended the tweet with the hashtags #NeverForget and #911Memorial.
