Over £100,000 of stolen vehicles were found in Bradford following a house burglary in Lancashire.

The motors were pinched during a raid on an address in Colne on Sunday, September 4.

However, the two pricey machines were located in the Bradford area and recovered, police said.

Officers have not revealed exactly what type of vehicles were stolen.

A spokesperson for Colne and West Craven Police said: “On Sunday 4th September PC 2172 Marsden attended a report of a residential burglary at an address in Colne whereby over £100,000 worth of vehicles had been stolen.

“After great cross border work between PC Marsden and officers from West Yorkshire Police, both vehicles have been located in the Bradford area and recovered.

“Enquiries are currently ongoing to trace the offenders.”

PC Marsden said “We are delighted that the victims have had their property returned as a result of some excellent cross border work between Lancashire and West Yorkshire police. Crimes of this nature are very distressing for victims and often leave a lasting impact on their lives.

“Whilst enquiries to identify the offenders are very much ongoing, we are asking for residents to remain vigilant, and ensure that your property is as secure as possible, particularly outbuildings and garages and report any suspicious activity to the police on 999 (in an emergency) or 101 (non-urgent)”.

People were quick to react on the police's Facebook page, with one saying: "Well done Bradford hope you parked them without a scratch

"It’s every day where I live keeps em busy at least and in a job."
