AN application to convert an empty unit on one of Bradford’s oldest streets into a bar and nightclub has been submitted to Bradford Council.
31 Ivegate has been a charity shop and nail parlour in its more recent history, although it has been vacant for the past several years.
This week a new application to convert the property was submitted by Kensington based Hosted Development Ltd.
The plans, which acknowledge that work began on the conversion in July, shows that the club will be based over two floors – the ground floor and basement.
There would be a timber decked area at the front of the bar/club.
A decision on the planning application is expected in early November.
The company has also submitted a licensing application for the address. If approved, it would allow the venue to open from 9am until 4am.
Numerous new bars and clubs have opened on the historic street in recent years.
