BRADFORD Bulls' final Championship match of the season against Widnes Vikings WILL go ahead on Sunday.

It comes after the EFL cancelled Bradford City's match at Mansfield on Saturday after the passing of the Queen yesterday.

Bulls say they have followed RFL guidance today which has allowed them to keep the game on this weekend.

The ‘Emergency Services Fun Day’ activities that were planned for the day will now not go ahead.

A minute’s silence in memory of Her Majesty will be held prior to the 3pm kick-off.

A Bradford Bulls spokesperson said: "Bradford Bulls can confirm - as per the RFL guidance sent to clubs this afternoon - our match against Widnes Vikings this Sunday will go ahead as planned.

"As a mark of respect following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the ‘Emergency Services Fun Day’ activities will not take place and gates will now open at 2:00pm.

"To honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, and as a mark of respect, a minute’s silence will be held prior to a 3pm kick-off on Sunday.

"Emergency Services personnel can still attend for FREE and all tickets already booked remain valid.

"We are looking to hold an ‘Emergency Services Fun Day’ event at a later date.

"Our thoughts and condolences remain with the Royal Family at this difficult time."
