SCREWFIX and Toolstation have been announced as new businesses that will join Burger King as part of the Eccleshill Park development on Harrogate Road.

The 2.8 acre site, developed by Opus North, is already home to a Lidl and a Starbucks.

Earlier this year plans to build a drive thru Burger King and a number of trade units on the former Union Mills site was approved by Bradford Council.

Opus North’s managing director, Andrew Duncan said: “There has been a lot of interest in this proposed development and having secured Burger King UK as a tenant, we are very keen to get onto the next stage.

“Our contractors will start on site towards the end of this year and we are aiming to have everything ready for occupation by Q3 of 2023.”

Hazel Cooper of marketing agents Carter Towler added: “This is a really exciting scheme for us to be involved with, the number of enquiries we have been dealing with during this planning stage has been very encouraging and I’m delighted that we have already secured two great tenants on the trade counter scheme, in addition to the Burger King Drive Thru.

“We have agreed lettings with Screwfix and Toolstation who will be taking 4,000 sq ft each at Unit 1 and Unit 3. The development is in an excellent location and there is already a Lidl supermarket and Starbucks thriving on the adjacent site. It’s fantastic that two of the properties have been taken even before construction has commenced.”

The remaining four units ranging from 3,320 sq ft to 9,960 sq ft.
