Police have officially named the 56-year-old man who died after a collision in Keighley.

David Follon, who lived in Keighley, was walking along Fell Lane, close to the junction with Oakworth Road, when he was in collision with a silver Toyota Yaris.

The incident took place at around 2.24am on Sunday, September 4.

Mr Follon was taken to hospital with serious injuries and but he sadly died a short time later.

The Major Collision Enquiry Team is investigating the incident and is appealing for anyone who witnessed it, or the movement of the vehicle or pedestrian immediately prior to it, to come forwards.

Anyone who has dash cam footage that may assist is also encouraged to make contact with the team.

It comes after Keighley town councillors expressed their sadness over the incident and sent their condolences to Mr Follon’s family.

Cllr Julie Adams (Fell Lane and Westburn) said: “My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

“Ultimately, I’m so sorry to hear this has happened. I hope anyone with information comes forward and there is a swift conclusion.”
