IT'S back to school across the Bradford district this week.

Our local schools have been welcoming new and returning pupils through their doors from Monday.

Here's what some have been posting on social media about the big day.

Sounds like it's been a significant one at Marshfield Primary at Thorton Lane, part of the Carlton Academy Trust.

At Immanuel College in Idle wished its students a "happy first day back" on Monday.

Amy Dignam sent us this picture of her son Jacob, aged 4, who she said smashed his first day in reception at his new school.

“Well done Jacob for being so brave and going in with a smile on your face,” she said.

Meanwhile at St Winefride's Catholic Primary School in Wibsey the pupils were straight back into the swing of things.

There were smiles in reception class at Carlton Mills Primary School in Manningham.

Hannah Eames sent us this picture of her son Adheem on his first day in Year 2. She said: “He loved his first day in year two and I also enjoyed the peace and quiet.”
