Bradford Council is now investigating a sinkhole in a busy Bradford area after it was reported in early August.
The sinkhole, on Beckside Road, which was initially thought to be a drain pipe leak, is causing significant traffic delays in the area around Great Horton Road.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Water said: "The issue was raised with Yorkshire Water but after further investigation, it was agreed this was an issue for Bradford Council.
A Bradford Council spokesperson said: “Originally this was a suspected water or drain pipe leak and was referred to Yorkshire Water.
“We are now investigating it to determine its cause.”
The council was unable to comment when this situation would be cleared.
