A BRADFORD man has appeared in court charged with obstructing an officer at a city convenience store.
Iftikhar Hussain, 39, of Cumberland Road, faced one charge of obstructing/resisting a constable in the execution of their duty.
The offence took place at Tesco Express, Sunbridge Road, Bradford, when Hussain resisted a officer in the execution of his duty. The offence took place on April 17, 2022.
Hussain was handed a 12-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £180 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £22 victim surcharge. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
He changed his plea to guilty after pleading not guilty at a previous hearing.
Hussain was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 25.
