A BRADFORD man has been fined for stealing a number of chocolate bars from a city shop.
Simon Taylor, 37, of Grantham Place, faced one theft from a shop charge.
He stole 39 Galaxy chocolate bars, worth a total of £116.61, from Home Bargains, Forster Square Retail Park, Valley Road, Bradford. The offence took place on April 14, 2022.
Taylor was fined £60, ordered to pay £116.61 compensation, £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £34 victim surcharge for the offence. The total sum to be recovered is £295.61. A collection order was made and an application was made for deductions to benefits.
The case was proved in his absence at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on August 17, 2022 and he was sentenced two days later.
