A BRADFORD man was in court for stealing a dog from a woman.
Aidan Ellison, of Thornbury Drive, stole the Staffordshire Bull Terrier on Tong Road in Leeds on May 31, of last year.
The theft was contrary to section 1(1) and 7 of the Theft Act 1968.
The 22-year-old was discharged conditionally for 12 months when he appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, August 23.
He must also pay £85 in court costs and a £22 victim surcharge.
The £107 balance must be paid by September 6, 2022.
A Staffordshire Bull Terrier, commonly called the Staffy or Stafford, is a shorthaired, purebred breed of dog in the medium size range.
They are thought to be intelligent, reliable, affectionate, loyal, fearless and courageous.
