A BRADFORD man has been banned from driving after being caught speeding on a major district road.
Saadat Ali, 28, of Lodore Avenue, faced one charge of exceeding 50mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order – manned equipment.
He was disqualified from holding, or obtaining, a driving licence for six months. The disqualification was obligatory due to repeat offending.
Ali was clocked speeding at 71mph in a 50mph zone of Sir Fred Hoyle Way/Bingley Bypass. The offence took place on November 23, 2021.
He was also fined £180, ordered to pay £110 costs and a £34 victim surcharge for the speeding charge. A collection order was made during the sentencing hearing.
Ali was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on August 25, 2022.
