Firefighters were called out to a flat blaze
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a ninth-floor flat in Keighley this afternoon.
Crews from several West Yorkshire fire stations were called out to the incident, at Bentley Court, Parkwood Rise.
The alarm was raised at about 2pm.
Firefighters had to break into the flat, which was unoccupied at the time.
They wore breathing apparatus and used a large water jet to tackle the blaze.
The fire was contained to the living room area, but there was smoke damage to the rest of the flat.
Crews were at the scene for around two hours.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but it is not being treated as suspicious.
