A festival is set to bring a magnificent ball, experimental music, food and much more to Bradford.
The 10-day long Intercultured Festival will take over six venues between October 19 and 29.
Highlights include ‘The Other Side of Hope’ night at Waterstones, experimental music exploring climate change with Electric Sufi, and a mini festival called ‘Teens Rule the World’ at Common Space.
A Commoners Ball invites Bradfordians of all ages to dress up in their finery and enjoy music, dance and song at The Midland Hotel.
There will also be creative arts workshops with Cecil Green Arts, Pahari Poetry with Nabila Ahmed, a Youth Cutz Open Mic night exploring mental health.
Meanwhile local refugee artists will host the popular World Foods cooking programme.
All events are free or ‘pay what you can’.
Meanwhile, over at Bradford City Library, an art installation known as The Boat will note the experiences of those who took dangerous routes to get to the UK.

Intercultured Festival is supported and funded by Arts Council England and Platforma, as well as its venue partners Common Space (Common Wealth Theatre), TiM (Bradford University), Bradford Libraries, Waterstones, Bradford Deaf Centre and Mary Magdalene Church.
