A singer songwriter mentored by Bee Gees star Robin Gibb stopped off in Bradford for choir rehearsal.

Yorkshire-born Alistair Griffin joined members of the All Together Now Choir, led by Chris Kemp, on Monday.

The musician will be joining the popular choir’s forthcoming concert ‘Times Like These’ at St George’s Hall on September 10.

Alistair, who was part of the BBC’s Fame Academy, has since written and performed numerous albums and singles, with chart success.

His song 'Just Drive' is used as the title song for Sky Sports F1 coverage.

Choir member Nessa Chacksfield said: “We were so proud and honoured to be singing Alistair's song The Road, written for the Tour de France, with him. It sounded magical.”

Another choir member Gill Daly said: “It was good to rehearse with Alistair to perfect the songs we are singing with him.”

A small number of tickets for Times Like These are available via bradford-theatres.co.uk
