A SHIPLEY company’s plans to refurbish a “dated” warehouse has been approved by planners.
Footwear specialist Sportsshoes.com is based in a business park on Thackley Old Road, off Leeds Road.
The company recently submitted plans to refurbish one of the units on the site – 2 Thackley Court, to create a “welcoming environment.”
The changes will include new cladding, windows and signage, as well as a new link path between this and other warehouses.
The application said: “The proposed project aims to unlock the potential of this dated warehouse and office space to create a modern and welcoming environment for the staff and visitors to Sportsshoes.com.”
The plans have been approved by Bradford Council, with officers saying: “The modernisation would uplift the existing building and would improve its appearance in the street scene.”
