Chris Roberts, of Bradford & Bingley Weatherline, brings us the latest of his regular weekend weather forecasts, which gives us a look at the Bank Holiday Monday conditions for the district.

General outlook

We begin our 'Holiday' weekend with high-pressure building again and this is likely to remain dominant right through next week.

However, the high will position itself to our North and this will bring in our air from a generally Easterly direction.

The result of this will be more cloud and cooler temperatures, particularly next week. Overall it should stay dry.

Saturday and Sunday

Settled and bright weather with mixed cloud and sunny periods, but that cloud could cause temperatures to drop a little, though it will feel pleasant in any sunshine.

Temperatures of 18 to 21C in a light ENE to Easterly breeze, calm at times particularly overnight. However, a shower cannot be ruled out but we would be very unlucky.

Nights will be cooler and fresher than of late with lows of 11C possible in a sheltered spot.

Bank Holiday Monday

A very similar day and dry with sunny periods, but cooler where cloud persists.

Temperatures from 12 to 18C in a light Easterly breeze; feeling a little fresher and cooler.

Further Outlook

High pressure remaining in charge and bringing dry and settled conditions with light winds but a fair amount of cloud.

Temperatures around average but dipping below at times.

Not the weather we need, as the hosepipe ban begins today.
