POLICE have issued a warning after a suspect used a garden ladder to crawl in through a window to commit a burglary at a Bradford home.

Between 12.45am and 1am on Monday on Coxwold Walk, Allerton, a suspect gained access to a home using ladders from the garden to climb in through the living room window.

The suspect climbed through an opened window into the living room and stole £50 from the victim's purse and left the same way as entry.

Following the incident, the police warned residents to make sure items in your garden, such as ladders, are locked securely and not readily available to thieves.

Police reported between 10am on August 15 and 9am Wednesday a house was broken into on Grange Avenue, Shipley.

The suspect gained entry by burning out the door lock and once inside made an untidy search before making off with a number of items.
