Firefighters were in attendance, along with six ambulances and two rapid response vehicles.

A Clayton councillor spoke following the crash.

"It's very sad for the families involved," said Cllr Carol Thirkill (Lab, Clayton and Fairweather Green).

"They impact not only people in the community but people across Bradford.

"I drive on that road and there had never been a fatality in 40 years that I've known of. There have been some minor bumps but generally, it's quite safe.”

People also paid tribute to Mr Zain.

One tribute said he was a “lovely person”.

It added: “We stuck by him during the good and bad and he stuck by us.

Another person wrote: “It’s very sad to know a mother and father have lost their son. Their dreams for his future are gone. Death is written but sometimes the circumstances break us.”
