A SPECIAL celebration is to be held for a radio station which has broadcasted from Bradford Royal Infirmary for 70 years.
Radio Royal will be marking its Platinum Jubilee on October 12.
All are welcome to join the celebration. Tickets are £10 and all profits will go back to Radio Royal, a registered charity.
The station relies on a dedicated group of presenters, who provide a range of different shows, including guest interviews and technology ensures a 24/7 operation can be provided,
Chairman George Sumner said: “I am so proud of Radio Royal and its achievements over the years, from live shows to outside broadcasts.
“Our presenters are fantastic, bringing their own music and other interests into the studio, and creating a welcoming and joyful listening experience.
“On occasions, we can all be found out at events, meeting people and being ambassadors both for Radio Royal and for the hospital.
“We love what we do and we are always on the lookout for new volunteers who might want to give presenting a go – and we will support you in learning new skills.”
The party will be held from 7.30pm at the Low Moor Club on Huddersfield Road.
Tickets available on the door.
