A NUMBER of drivers have been caught speeding during a clampdown by police on a Bradford road.
Police from Bradford West held a speedwatch on Allerton Road following residents’ reports of speeding in the area.
Several drivers were recorded driving over the speed limit, with one driver recorded at a speed of almost 20mph over the limit. The day of action was held on Monday, August 22.
In a Bradford West Police Facebook post: “All of the drivers who were caught speeding in this session will be sent a letter outlining their responsibilities as a driver.
“Next time it could be points and fine. Speedwatches are there to educate and assist the police.
“Many drivers captured were local to the area. Please be mindful of the changing speed limits and keep your communities safer.”
