CANNABIS was found in an abandoned vehicle by police officers in Birstall.
Officers from the Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team found an abandoned black Land Rover on Leeds Road.
They checked the registration number and the vehicle was found to be on false plates.
During their search, officers found a quantity of cannabis, which was seized for destruction.
West Yorkshire Police – Batley and Spen tweeted about the incident:
Officers from Batley and Spen NPT came across an abandoned vehicle on Leeds Road, Birstall. Upon checking the vin and registration number it showed to be on false plates.
