A MAN has been banned for drink driving and making off without paying for petrol.
Yanick Ngounou, 35, of First Avenue, Liversedge, faced a number of charges.
In the first offence, making off without making a payment, he dishonestly made off without having paid as required, or expected, and with intent to avoid payment of £24.31 at Westfield Service Station, Whitehall Road, Bradford, on December 3, 2021.
In the second charge, driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit, he drove a car after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 82 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit in Halifax Road, Hightown, Liversedge, on December 3, 2021.
He was disqualified for obtaining, or holding, a driving licence for 48 months for this charge.
He faced a third charge of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.
Ngounou damaged two glass windows to a value unknown but below £5,000 belonging to William Hill, Westgate, Huddersfield, on July 24, 2021.
Ngounou was handed a community order for these offences. The requirements of the order included ordered to carry out 120 hours unpaid work in the community over the next 12 months.
He was sentenced at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court on August 11, 2022.
