NINE drivers will lose their licences after proactive work from police during the first day of the force's drink and drug campaign.
West Yorkshire Police launched the focused initiative on Monday in an attempt to take intoxicated drivers off the road.
The Roads Policing Unit's (RPU) Twitter page shared an update with how the first day went.
Officers arrested nine drivers in total for drink and/or drug-driving offences, right across West Yorkshire on Monday.
Those people will lose their driving licences and could even see their jobs in jeopardy, according to the RPU.
The team's tweet said: "Yesterday, day one of the campaign saw nine drivers being arrested for drink/drug driving offences across West Yorkshire.
"Nine individuals that will lose their licence and potentially their jobs.
"Think first before getting behind the wheel intoxicated."
