A DRIVER is set to lose his licence after falsely using his car to make takeaway deliveries in Holme Wood.

After cutting up another driver at a junction, police pulled the black Volkswagen over on Saturday evening.

The vehicle was insured for social, domestic and pleasure only.

However, there was food in the car on its way to be delivered.

The male driver had had the car seized in July for business use without the correct insurance.

The car was seized again and the man received a second six-point offence.

A spokesperson from the force said: "He tried telling us it was his own food, then found a different story to tell. The receipt on it said otherwise.

"The reason we do this is if this driver collided with you, someone going about their lawful travels, his insurance would be void and you would have to fork out for your own repairs."
