A MAN has been charged with carrying an offensive weapon in The Broadway last week.
The incident occurred late afternoon last Thursday in the Bradford shopping centre.
Stephen Irwin, 41, of Cape Street in the city centre, has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court today.
A spokesperson from the force said: "A man arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in The Broadway shopping centre on August 18 has been charged.
"Stephen Irwin, 41, of Cape Street, was charged with possession of an offensive weapon and remanded into custody.
"He's due to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court today."
