The spokesperson said: "We sent appliances from Odsal and Bradford fire stations. One casualty was extricated from a vehicle and taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary.

A passing bystander said: "The whole area is cordoned off and recovery vehicles are sorting out a small car and a 4x4 Peugout. The smaller vehicle has had its door taken off."

Another bystander said: "At the Little Horton Lane / Park Lane / Park Road roundabout there was a car crash.

"A minimum of one person was trapped in the car.
