A MAN has been jailed for stealing clothes from a shop in Bradford.

Andrzej Wisniewski, 28, of Glenholme Road, Bradford, has been jailed for a total of 35 days for two offences.

In the first, theft from a shop, he was committed to prison for 28 days for stealing three pairs of jeans and one jacket from H&M at The Broadway, Bradford. This offence took place on July 12, 2022.

He was jailed due to a wilful and persistent failure to comply with the requirements of a community order. The offence was aggravated by the defendant’s record of previous offending.

Wisniewski was ordered to pay a £156 victim surcharge for this offence.

In the second charge, he was committed to prison for seven days, to run consecutively, for failing, without reasonable cause to surrender to custody at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings. This offence took place on August 12, 2022.

He was also committed to prison for 28 days, to run concurrently, as he was re-sentenced for a further theft from a shop charge.

Wisniewski pleaded guilty to the charges he faced and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on August 15, 2022.
