A UNION has accused Incommunities of being “wilfully misleading”.
It comes after the social housing provider said the Acorn union had refused to meet with them about the York House flats in Thorpe Edge, which are to be decommissioned.
Incommunities said Acorn attended its offices on several occasions but had “not been willing to work towards a positive outcome”.
“We are happy to work with and for all our residents however it is unclear who exactly Acorn is representing and what their motivations are,” the Incommunities spokesperson told the Telegraph & Argus.
Acorn hit back, saying they had tried to set up a meeting but claimed they were told by Incommunities that they were unable to set it up as they were ‘prioritising core matters’.
The Acorn spokesperson said: “It’s disappointing Incommunities have decided to misrepresent us like this, but we're still happy to meet with them."
Incommunities did not wish to comment further.
