Headteacher Paul Clayton said: “We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements this year in their examinations, which lay testament to their hard work and dedication.

“Having faced great challenges over the last two years, these are our first A-level students to sit their exams after the pandemic.

“Whilst it is impressive that they have managed to outperform previous examination cohorts, it is far more important that the vast majority have received the grades required to accept their offers of university, college or apprenticeships.

"We wish all our Year 13 students the very best for what will be bright and exciting futures.”

Guiseley School students will now be preparing for next steps with many having secured places at prestigious universities including five students who will be attending Oxbridge.

Among other destinations for students are St Andrews, Bath, Bristol, Durham, Keele, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and York among a host of other Universities, Colleges and Degree level Apprenticeships.
