A MAN was arrested on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon in The Broadway yesterday.
The incident occurred late afternoon on Thursday in the Bradford shopping centre.
A 41-year-old man has been bailed pending further enquiries.
One witness says it was a team effort to haul the man to the ground.
They said: "The man was chased by police and tackled to the floor by on-site security and a member of the public. This was around 4.30 to 5pm."
A spokesperson from the force said: "Police have arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
"He’s been bailed pending further enquiries."
The shopping centre, based on Hall Ings, is home to over 80 high street brands, restaurants, eateries, and The Light Cinema.
