A YOUNG man has been arrested after a report of a sexual assault outside a city centre bookshop.
Police put a cordon in place outside the Waterstones at the Wool Exchange in Bank Street on the morning of August 5.
A female had reported a sexual assault to West Yorkshire Police, which happened in the early hours.
There was a police officer guarding the scene during the day.
The last update from the force came at midday on August 6, with no arrests made at that point.
But a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police revealed today that a 20-year-old male has been arrested and let go on bail, pending further enquiries.
A full statement from the force said: "A 20-year-old man has been arrested and bailed pending further enquiries."
