A MAN has been banned after being caught driving while disqualified in Bradford.

Martyn Hobson, 31, of Ayton Close, Bradford, faced a number of driving whilst disqualified charges.

He was disqualified from holding, or obtaining, a driving licence for 36 months for the offences. His driving ban was deemed obligatory due to repeat offending.

In the first, he was caught driving while disqualified on Melford Street, Bradford, on May 7, 2022. Hobson was fined £40, ordered to pay £170 costs and a £35 victim surcharge for this charge.

Hobson also faced a further charge of driving while disqualified, contrary to the Road Traffic Act 1988. This took place on Sticker Lane, Bradford, on April 1, 2022.

He was also handed a community order for these two offences. This order includes a rehabilitation activity requirement. He also faced no separate penalty for two further charges of using a motor vehicle on a road / public place without third party insurance. These offences took place on the same date and same locations as the two driving whilst disqualified charges Hobson faced. His driving record was endorsed.

Hobson pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on July 27, 2022.
